Trend Nova World is seeking a skilled and strategic Manager – Import/Export Advisory & Compliance to lead advisory services for SMEs and trade councils, ensuring seamless compliance with international trade regulations. Job Summary
The Manager – Import/Export Advisory & Compliance will lead advisory services for SMEs and trade councils, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and facilitating smooth import/export operations. This role involves providing expert guidance, monitoring regulatory compliance, and supporting cross-border sellers, while collaborating with partners to resolve compliance challenges. The candidate will report to the Head of Logistics & Trade Coordination and align efforts with Trend Nova World’s global logistics strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Lead & Scale
- Provide expert import/export advisory services to SMEs and trade councils to optimize their global trade operations.
- Support the scaling of Trend Nova World’s logistics and trade services across 193 markets by delivering compliance-focused solutions.
Secure & Monetize
- Secure advisory contracts with SMEs, trade councils, admiteand cross-border sellers to drive revenue and expand Trend Nova World’s advisory portfolio.
- Assist clients in navigating complex international trade regulations (e.g., WTO, customs) to ensure compliant and efficient operations.
- Leverage cross-sector synergies to integrate advisory services with other Trend Nova World offerings (e.g., logistics, eCommerce fulfillment).
Innovate & Transform
- Monitor and ensure compliance with global trade regulations, resolving challenges in partnership with stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the Head of Logistics & Trade Coordination to align advisory services with global expansion strategies.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned by the Head of Logistics & Trade Coordination to support global growth.
Qualifications
- Experience: 7+ years in trade advisory, compliance, or import/export management, with proven success in guiding clients through regulatory frameworks.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of WTO, customs, and international trade regulations; expertise in advisory services and compliance; excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in International Trade, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field.
- Attributes: Strategic, detail-oriented, and adaptable with a global mindset to navigate complex international markets.
Compensation Structure
- Compensation Model: This is a commission-based position, with the Manager receiving an agreed percentage of successful advisory contracts.
- Performance Incentives: Bonuses or performance shares may be awarded upon meeting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), such as the number of clients advised or revenue targets achieved.
Work Environment
- Location: Flexible, with a preference for candidates able to travel to key global markets.
- Travel: Frequent international travel for client meetings, trade summits, and compliance engagements.
- Work Style: Hybrid, fostering a flexible and collaborative culture.
Reporting Structure
- Reports to the Head of Logistics & Trade Coordination.
- Collaborates with division heads across multiple sectors.
