Job Summary
Reporting to the Head of Education Division, the Manager – Student Counseling & Advisory Services leads student advisory operations, ensuring students receive personalized guidance on higher education opportunities, career pathways, and program selection. This role drives student success through mentorship, structured advisory frameworks, and collaboration with other education teams.
Key Responsibilities
Student Counseling Operations
- Lead student counseling operations across international education markets, ensuring high-quality, personalized guidance for students seeking higher education opportunities.
- Develop and implement structured advisory frameworks to guide students through program selection, application processes, and career planning, achieving a 90% student satisfaction rate.
- Oversee a team of counselors and advisory officers, providing mentorship and training to enhance their advisory capabilities.
- Monitor counseling outcomes, targeting an 85% success rate for student placements into desired academic programs.
Mentorship & Team Development
- Provide ongoing mentorship and professional development to counseling staff, fostering a culture of empathy, expertise, and student-centric service.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and training sessions to ensure counselors meet KPIs, such as student satisfaction and placement success.
- Develop resources and tools, such as career assessment frameworks and program guides, to enhance the quality of advisory services.
Collaboration & Integration
- Collaborate with the Scholarship & Visa Operations team to ensure seamless support for students navigating funding and immigration processes.
- Work with the University & Partnership Relations team to align counseling services with available academic programs and partnership opportunities.
- Partner with the Education Technology & Data team to integrate digital tools, such as AI-driven career counseling platforms, into advisory workflows, targeting 30% adoption within 12 months.
- Support the Head of Education Division in pitching advisory services to secure $500K–$2M in education contracts annually.
Feedback & Process Improvement
- Collect and analyze student feedback to identify common needs, challenges, and opportunities for improving advisory services.
- Implement data-driven improvements to counseling processes, reducing response times by 15% and increasing student engagement by 20% annually.
- Deliver quarterly reports on counseling performance, including KPIs such as student satisfaction, placement rates, and service delivery metrics.
Client & Business Growth
- Identify opportunities to upsell advisory services, such as premium counseling packages or career coaching, contributing to 10–15% additional revenue.
- Engage with students, parents, and educational institutions to build trust and promote Trend Nova World’s advisory services.
- Provide market insights and student feedback to inform the Education Division’s strategy and enhance competitive positioning.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned by the Head of Education Division to support divisional growth and objectives.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years in academic or career counseling, with a proven track record of leading student advisory services or education consultancy teams.
- Skills: Excellent interpersonal, mentoring, and communication skills; proficiency in counseling tools and platforms; ability to work across diverse cultural and time zone contexts.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field; certifications in career counseling (e.g., NCDA, GCDF) are a plus.
- Attributes: Empathetic, student-focused, and strategic with a strong ability to mentor teams and drive student success.
Commission Structure
- Compensation Model: Performance-driven commission model with competitive base compensation, plus incentives tied to student placement success, client satisfaction, and divisional revenue growth.
- Performance Incentives: Bonuses or performance shares awarded upon meeting or exceeding KPIs, such as 90% student satisfaction, 85% placement rate, and 10–15% upsell revenue.
- KPIs: Achieve 90% student satisfaction, 85% student placement rate, and contribute to 10–15% upsell revenue annually.
Work Environment
- Location: Flexible, with the ability to work across multiple time zones to accommodate global students and teams; potential for international travel.
- Travel: Occasional international travel for student recruitment events, client meetings, or partnership engagements.
